I'm not a runner but it is wonderful to enjoy the fellowship each year and remember the sacrifice that our wonderful service men and women make to insure our freedom! This year Sharon & I were blessed to win the week in Florida donated by Bill & Val Meis, the aunt and uncle of Derek's fiance. We had a great time. We're looking forward to next year for the fellowship, a good brat, and to purchase several raffle tickets for each of our 16 grandkids. Thanks to the Dobogais' and the volunteers to all the hard work!

Thinking of Derek and all of the men that we lost on this day--True American Heroes. Also thinking about the families as well; you are always in my prayers. God Bless.

What a special priveledge it was to spend Saturday morning with the great group of people that joined together to honor the service and sacrifice of America's true Heroes. On the way to WLA that morning I cranked up the volume of the car stereo and played Ray Charles' great rendition of "America the Beautiful". One verse seemed to take on an even deeper meaning that morning: "Oh beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife Who more than self their country loved And mercy more than life " See you all next year. God Bless America !

It was a great day. What a honor it was to agian stand with friends and family. The people I met today are all genuine and proved agian to me how even though we come from different back grounds. we can all pull together for something we all believe in. Never forget the lessons learned on this day or the 14 that we honored today. For it is because of people like them that we can move around in this country and gather as we did. God Bless You All. Respectfully DeepFreeze

Great Website! Great memorial to 14 warfighters who gave all for country, freedom, and us. We won't ever forget. It's a humbling reminder to me of the priviledge I have daily "to serve to protect those who so selflessly serve to protect us".

Thank you for holding this wonderful memorial event. I was proud to participate today in honor of Captain Dobogai, the 14 who died on 077 Jenna, and in honor of all of our American Service men and women who put themselves in harm's way so that we may live free. Four of us from our Milwaukee tri-training team ran the 10k in your event today. It was my second and another's 1st 10k. The atmosphere was inspirational and the volunteers welcoming. (Excellent cookies, too...) May the sun continue to shine on you.

It will be my honor to stand once again for Capt. Dobogai. What an excellent tribute to him and the 13 other soldiers that lost their lives that night in Iraq.

As an Alumni of WLA and a currently deployed Soldier from WI Guard, I am so touched that you are starting something that will keep the memories burning. I'll be home on R&R actually during this time, so I will try to make it up there and participate! God's blessings to all.
